The Range Experience Platform · Series A — Active Raise

OpenTable didn't replace
the restaurant's POS.
We're doing the same thing
for shooting ranges.

ShotPro is The Range Experience Platform — the first connected system purpose-built for shooting ranges. Frictionless. Seamless. Fun. The guest experience modern consumers expect, finally delivered at a range. We integrate with Gearfire. We don't replace it.

Investment Thesis

Four reasons this is a generational window.

CONNECTED. The word ShotPro owns in the operator's mind. One customer record. One platform. One guest experience — connecting every touchpoint the patchwork of disconnected tools has never been able to link. That is the category ShotPro created. No competitor was built to enter it.
01
Blue ocean — a category that didn't exist
ShotPro didn't enter the "range management software" category. It created a new one: The Range Experience Platform. No competitor was built to deliver the guest experience layer above the POS. Rangeworks and EZFacility do facility ops. None of them produce an experience. ShotPro produces the experience that brings guests back.
02
Second Amendment as a structural moat
2A protections create barriers no generic tech company can navigate without a ground-up rebuild. ShotPro's 2A-native architecture — ProPay/Wells Fargo payment rails, waiver workflows, safety affirmation logic — cannot be retrofitted onto a yoga studio app. The identity layer is the moat.
03
Channel-ready distribution, already proven
The Gearfire/AXIS network reaches 430+ shooting ranges. Every Q1 customer self-selected into XO Enterprise ($900/mo) rather than Core ($149/mo). A 100% self-selection rate tells us operator appetite and willingness-to-pay both exceed model assumptions. The channel is already open.
04
A data flywheel no competitor can shortcut
Every check-in, waiver, reservation, and transaction builds a unified behavioral dataset across an industry with no comparable data infrastructure. Revfinity's 25 pre-built automation loadouts compound with every range onboarded. The single data model — built from Day 1 — is a 3–5 year rebuild for any competitor.
The Problem

An industry stuck in 2005.

Shooting ranges compete on Friday night against TopGolf, escape rooms, axe throwing, the movies — and they're handing guests a clipboard. The consumer's expectation is set by the best experience they've had anywhere. They bring that expectation to your range.

  • Paper or PDF waivers — signed at the counter, stored in a silo, connected to nothing
  • No unified customer record across visits, purchases, or membership interactions
  • Zero lane utilization visibility or yield management capability
  • Membership managed manually or through platforms that have restricted firearms businesses
  • Marketing automation built for SaaS companies — not ranges, not 2A-native, cancellation risk real
  • 5–6 tools. Separate bills. Separate logins. The gaps between them are where the guest experience breaks down and revenue leaks.
The Market

Massive, growing, and technology-starved.

"The patchwork's fatal flaw is not that any single tool is bad. It is that the gap between the tools is where the guest experience breaks down, revenue leaks, and staff hours disappear."

  • $4B+ U.S. shooting range services market — the addressable SaaS vertical. Part of a $16B+ total shooting sports market.
  • 7,000+ estimated U.S. shooting ranges. SaaS penetration effectively 0%. No incumbent to displace at scale.
  • Gearfire/AXIS: 430+ ranges on the dominant range POS. Gearfire total network: 2,900+ participants.
  • We are not fighting for market share. We are creating the market.
  • Growing participation: first-time gun owners at generational highs. PE/VC-backed range rollups accelerating nationwide.
The Entertainment Economy Frame

Ranges compete with every entertainment option on a Friday night. Guests who book elsewhere have already experienced frictionless digital check-in. They bring those expectations to your range.

TopGolf
Bay booked from your phone in 90 seconds. App check-in. Digital scoring. Instant follow-up. Guests leave knowing they'll come back.
AMC
Seat selection, digital ticket, no line at the counter. Loyalty points tracked automatically. The friction is already gone before you arrive.
United + CLEAR
ID verified before you arrive. Boarding pass on your phone. TSA bypassed. You show up and the experience is already in progress.
Amazon
Order history, preferences, payment on file. Every interaction builds on the last. You are never a stranger. You are never starting over.
The ShotPro guest experience: book the lane from your phone, complete the waiver from your couch, walk in with the ShotPro ID app — lane is waiting. Staff are hosts, not a check-in desk. That is the experience guests expect. ShotPro is the first platform that delivers it at a range.
Structural Moat — 2A-Native Architecture

Built for ranges.
Will never cancel you for being one.

The identity layer — why no competitor can replicate this
"We will never cancel you for being a firearms business. Not a promise. The foundation."

Mailchimp, HubSpot, MindBody, Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign, and Square have all restricted or cancelled firearms-related accounts. Their "policy" is whatever their trust & safety team decides next quarter. ShotPro's 2A-native commitment is a design decision baked into the company's commercial infrastructure — payment rails, platform architecture, and founding intent. A public policy reversal across multiple platforms would be required to match this claim. It will not happen.

Payment Rails
ProPay / Wells Fargo infrastructure under MCC 7999 (indoor shooting/training) and MCC 5941 (retail). Payment architecture designed for this industry from Day 1.
Range-Specific Workflows
Check-in affirmation, waiver re-sign, safety compliance — built into the UX, not bolted on. You cannot retrofit a yoga studio app for a shooting range.
Operator-Built Credibility
Ken Baye ran Stoddard's Range and Guns. Thom Bolsch runs Saddle River Range on ShotPro every day. Not advisory positioning — founders who've stood behind the same counter our customers stand behind.
Gearfire Network Exclusivity
The only integration purpose-built for the AXIS POS platform. 430+ pre-qualified ranges. Gearfire would need to build or endorse a competing platform to replicate this.
The Real Competitor

The patchwork is the villain.
Not any single vendor.

ShotPro doesn't compete with Rangeworks, MindBody, SmartWaiver, or HubSpot — because they each do one thing in isolation. ShotPro connects all of those functions into one experience. We're not in the same category. We created a new one.

The patchwork — what ranges are running today
  • Digital waiver tool ($50–$150/mo) — data silo, connected to nothing
  • CRM / marketing automation ($100–$300/mo) — not 2A-native, cancellation risk
  • Event ticketing + per-ticket fees ($50–$200/mo + 3% per ticket)
  • Membership / loyalty platform ($99–$349/mo) — built for gyms, not ranges
  • Lane reservation / facility management ($100–$400/mo)
  • POS hardware lease + premium support ($150–$400/mo)
  • $579–$1,800/month total. Zero unified customer record. Policy risk on every platform.
ShotPro — one connected platform
  • Digital waivers — unlimited, included all tiers, auto-linked to guest profile
  • Revfinity CRM — 25 pre-built Loadouts, 2A-native by design, will never cancel
  • ShotPass — included all bundles, zero per-ticket fees for bundled customers
  • Membership module — included Max/XO, no add-on, no policy risk
  • Lane reservation — included Max/XO, real-time availability, app-based
  • HaaS hardware — kiosk + terminal included Max/XO, no separate lease
  • One subscription. One customer record. Every touchpoint connected.
The Money Argument

Most ranges are already
paying for ShotPro.

They're just paying three times as much, to six different vendors that have never shared a customer record. The question is not whether a range can afford ShotPro. It's whether they can afford to keep paying $1,800/month for tools that might cancel them tomorrow for being a firearms business.

Day-One Revenue Recovery — CC Fee Reversal

ShotPro's payments layer passes the full cost of card processing to the end customer. A range doing $150K/month in card volume recovers $4,500/month — $54,000/year — before a single new feature is activated. At $300K/month: $9,000/month, $108,000/year. This is not a future-state promise. It is day-one math.

The Platform

The guest experience layer
Gearfire was never designed to deliver.

Gearfire runs your operation. ShotPro owns your guest experience. We integrate with AXIS without replacing a single workflow. Your POS gets better. Your guest experience gets transformed.

XO
ShotPro XO — Connected Platform
Full platform with open POS integration. Kiosk check-in, digital waivers, lane reservations, membership, analytics. The guest experience layer above any existing POS. $649–$900/mo by lane count.
ID
ShotPro ID + HaaS
Co-branded mobile app: digital membership card, range access, visit history, and reservations in one scan. HaaS bundles kiosk and ELO range desk terminal into the monthly subscription. Staff become hosts, not a check-in desk.
RF
Revfinity — Connected Marketing
Purpose-built CRM and marketing automation for shooting ranges. 25 pre-built campaign loadouts: re-engagement, birthday, lapsed-member win-back, upsell. Visit-linked behavioral segmentation. 2A-native by design.
SP
ShotPass — Connected Ticketing
Event ticketing included in all bundles. Zero per-ticket fee for bundled customers vs. 3% + $1.50 standalone — creating a natural upgrade engine that runs without AE involvement.
MB
Membership — Connected Loyalty
Loyalty and membership management for multi-location operators. Cross-range reciprocity, tier management, and automated renewal billing. Members spend 3× more than walk-ins.
AX
AXIS Integration — Connected POS
Native integration with Gearfire's AXIS POS platform — the industry's dominant system. XO customers gain a unified customer view across range and retail. The only purpose-built integration for this network.
Q1 2026 Traction

The market is voting early — and voting up.

"Every Gearfire/AXIS range that evaluated ShotPro in Q1 self-selected into XO Enterprise — our $900/mo top tier — rather than Core at $149/mo. 25 for 25. That is not a sales achievement. That is product-market fit showing up in pricing behavior."

Operator-investor signal: Tom Bolsch (Saddle River Range & Guns, Conroe and Spring TX) and additional beta operators are running their own ranges on ShotPro — not in a pilot, as an operational reality. Our investors are range owners running the platform every day. That is the strongest product credibility signal available in any industry.

Leadership

Operators building for operators.

No competitor has a founder who has operated a shooting range. This cannot be replicated by hiring a "range industry consultant."

Thom Bolsch
SAFE Investor & Operator Reference

JS
Jason Short
SAFE Investor & Operator Reference
Owner of Texas Gun Club & Guns, with locations in Stafford and League City, TX. Jason runs both ranges on ShotPro daily as an operator-investor — not a name on an advisory board, but a range owner who evaluated the platform, wrote a check, and trusts it to run his business every day.
